# Shower Door Seals for 1/2" Glass

1/2" (12 mm) glass is used on heavy, high-end frameless doors and panels. It feels noticeably thicker than standard glass and needs heavy-duty hinges.

## 1/2" glass: common questions

**How do I know my glass is 1/2"?**

Lay a tape measure across a bare edge: 1/2" is eight 1/16" marks (about 12 mm). Six marks is 3/8", the more common size.

**What is the most common bottom sweep for 1/2" glass?**
