# Shower Leaking Where the Door Meets the Corner Panel

By the [IDEAL install crew](https://idealshowerdoors.com/) · Frameless glass showers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire since 2014 · Updated 10-04-2026

When a door closes against a panel at a 90° corner, the seal on that panel edge is what keeps water in. When it wears out or is missing, water sprays right through.

## The fix

- **Swing door closing against a 90° panel:** a strike seal on the panel edge, like [CRL P090SJ](https://idealshowerdoors.com/store/p/p090sj) for 3/8" glass. Its vinyl insert gives the door something soft to close against.
- **Fin-style corner seal:** a clear U with a 90° fin, like [CRL PC1090](https://idealshowerdoors.com/store/p/pc1090) (3/8"), also used on some sliding systems.

## Check the bottom corner too

Water often escapes at the very bottom corner, past the end of the bottom seal. Make sure the bottom seal like [CRL P990WS](https://idealshowerdoors.com/store/p/p990ws) runs the full width of the door, and that the base of the fixed panel is sealed with [silicone](https://idealshowerdoors.com/store/p/33smrc).

Browse all [corner seals](https://idealshowerdoors.com/store/c/corner).
