# Shipping & policies

## All sales are final

Due to the nature of shipping these long seals (most are 95" lengths), items cannot be returned or exchanged. Before checkout you'll be asked to confirm that you understand all sales are final. Please double-check your glass thickness and the type of seal before you order. Our [measuring guide](https://idealshowerdoors.com/store/measure) and [Seal Finder](https://idealshowerdoors.com/store/finder) will help you pick the right one.

If an item arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, email [office@idealshowerdoors.com](mailto:office@idealshowerdoors.com) within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a couple of photos, and we'll make it right.

## Shipping

**Shipping is free to the lower 48 states and DC.** We can't ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories or outside the U.S. Seals, gaskets, tools and supplies usually ship within 3–7 business days, straight from our supplier. Most seals ship in long lengths (typically 95"), so the box will be long.

**Glass Care ships free from IDEAL.** The IDEAL Bath Kit and IDEAL Conditioner 2-Pack are packed and shipped by our own team in Danvers, MA, usually within 1–3 business days, to addresses in the lower 48 states and DC. No CRL fees apply to them. If you order Glass Care together with seals or supplies, you pay once, and your order arrives in two packages: one from IDEAL and one from our supplier.

## CRL fees: from the factory, passed on at cost

**These fees apply only to seals, gaskets, tools and supplies.** Glass Care products never have CRL fees.

**We do not mark these charges up.** CRL's packing and small-order fees are passed directly on to you at exactly what CRL charges us.

Our seals are made by **CRL (C.R. Laurence)**. On small orders, CRL adds its own fees. These are ** CRL's charges, not ours**: we simply pass them on at exactly what CRL charges us. We never mark them up and we don't make a cent on them. When a fee applies, it shows as a separate line starting with "CRL" in your cart, before you pay.

### CRL packing fee ($6.50, once per order)

CRL charges a one-time packing fee when an order has fewer than 10 seal lengths in total. Any mix of seals counts toward the 10, so 4 of one seal and 6 of another means no packing fee. It covers boxing up small quantities of long seals. Tape and tools don't count toward the 10. **Not marked up: passed directly on at CRL's cost.**

### CRL small-order fee ($5.00 on orders under $50)

CRL adds a $5.00 small-order fee to **orders under $50** in seals and supplies (product subtotal of seals, gaskets, tools and supplies, before fees and tax; Glass Care doesn't count toward it). Orders of $50 or more don't have it, and your cart shows how much more to add to skip it. **Not marked up: passed directly on at CRL's cost.**

### Lower 48 states and DC only

Free shipping covers the lower 48 states and DC. We can't ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories or outside the U.S.

**Shipping itself is free.**

## Sales tax

Massachusetts orders include 6.25% Massachusetts sales tax on products.

Outside Massachusetts, CRL (the factory that makes these parts) charges us your state's sales tax on its bill for your order's parts, and CRL sends that tax to your state. It appears in your cart as a separate **CRL sales tax** line and is passed on at exactly CRL's cost, never marked up. States with no sales tax have no such line.

Glass Care products ship from IDEAL: Massachusetts orders include 6.25% Massachusetts sales tax on them, and there is no CRL sales tax on them.

## How to measure your glass

See our full [illustrated guide](https://idealshowerdoors.com/store/measure). In short: measure the thickness of the glass at an exposed edge with a tape measure or calipers. The common sizes are 1/4" (6 mm), 5/16" (8 mm), 3/8" (10 mm) and 1/2" (12 mm). Most frameless swing doors are 3/8" or 1/2". If it's between sizes, it's almost always the closer standard size above.

## Cutting seals to length

Measure the door, then cut the seal with a fine-tooth hacksaw (rigid polycarbonate seals) or sharp snips (soft vinyl). Clean the glass edge before installing.
