Is 33SMRC silicone mildew resistant?
Yes. It contains additives that help the cured bead resist mold and mildew, which makes it a good choice for showers and tubs.
Can I use 33SMRC with brass shower hardware?
No. It is an acetic-cure silicone that releases acid while it cures and can turn brass green. Use the neutral-cure CRL RTV408C instead.
What surfaces does 33S silicone not work on?
CRL does not recommend it for natural stone like marble or limestone, mirrors, or surfaces you plan to paint. Remove all old sealant before applying.
Do I need a caulking gun?
Yes. The 10.3 oz tube fits a standard caulking gun like the CRL GA1204.
