Shower Door Seals for 5/16" Glass
5/16" (8 mm) glass shows up on some semi-frameless and imported shower doors. It is only 1/16" thinner than 3/8", so it is the size people most often get wrong. Measure carefully before ordering.
Every seal below pressure fits onto 5/16" glass.

5/16" glass: common questions
How do I tell 5/16" glass from 3/8"?
Count the 1/16" marks on a tape measure across the glass edge: five marks is 5/16", six is 3/8". In metric, 8 mm is 5/16" and 10 mm is 3/8".
Can I use a 3/8" seal on 5/16" glass?
No. A seal for 3/8" glass will be loose on 5/16" glass and will work its way off the door.
Are 8 mm and 5/16" the same?
Close enough for seals: 8 mm glass takes the 5/16" seals.
